I have been at my current position as a Home Educator for Parents as Teachers at Highland Park for 4 years. I have had the priviledge to build the program with an amazing Coordinator, Mary Beth Young and an awesome Supervisor, Vanette Barnett.
I first started as an Assistant at Highland Elementary in Tulia then moved to Pampa and taught 3 year old Head Start. We then moved to Amarillo and I started substituting at HP. I went on to Region 16 and taught Early Head Start at Caprock. Finally, I found my way back to HP as a Special Education Assistant then moved on to my current position.
I have been married to Luis Garza for 25 years. We have 5 children, 5 grandkids and waiting for grandson, Luke. We have a house full of fun personalities and share many laughs.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids/grandkids. We do whatever sounds fun. I'm not big on making plans, we just go with the flow. During the Summer months, we watch lots of movie marathons, enjoy late nights and basically hangout and enjoy life.
