Elementary Commitment Statements

Staff Commitment Statement

Our belief at Highland Park Elementary is to first touch the heart in order to teach the mind.  We are committed to building strong character and are passionate about creating a school where every child is valued, respected, and given opportunities for life-long success.

Parent Commitment Statements were created by parents at our September PTO meeting.  The committee voted and decided the parent commitment statement would be:

We, as parents, are committed to instilling the belief in our children that higher education is a realistic and attainable goal!  We are committed to pushing our children to take responsibility for themselves, their actions, and their attitude.  We will expect nothing but their absolute best!  By doing this, we are instilling in them the proper tools to ensure our children’s future success.

The Primary Commitment Statement is:

We, Highland Park Hornets, are committed to caring and sharing while growing and knowing.

The Intermediate Statement is:

As students of Highland Park Elementary we commit to come to school with a positive attitude, show good character, and learn the skills we need to be successful in life.  Our goal is to graduate from high school and continue our education, fulfilling our dreams.
