Performance
Highland Park ISD has an excellent track record when it comes to academics. The 2004-05 School Report Cards for the campuses in our district are available from the Texas Education Agency. Our District 2004-05 AEIS report are available as well.
History
Highland Park School District began business as an independent school district with the 1978-79 school year. It had been a K-9th grade school for many years, and continued as such. The addition of the High School was begun during the 1985-86 school year.
Community
Highland Park School consists of an elementary, middle, and high school with a total of approximately 850 students. A large portion of our community lives in housing that was formerly part of an Air Force Base. The rest live is various small community pockets, in rural areas, and on farms and ranches. The district also has many students that transfer from nearby districts.
