About the Teacher

This is my 9th year to teach.  All my years of experience have been at Highland Park.  My first year of teaching was in the 3rd grade.  The next year, I moved up with those students to 4th grade.  I taught 4th grade for seven years.  This year I will be teaching 5th grade math and homeroom social studies.

I graduated from Western Oklahoma State College with an Associates degree in Psychology.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas A & M University.  I recently received my master's degree from Wayland Baptist University.

I have been married for almost thirteen years.   We will be having a baby really soon, but right now we have just have one Siberian Husky, Nakita.  She is extremely spoiled, and she knows it.

My favorite things to do are to spend time with my husband, family, and my dog.  I also enjoy going to the movies, reading, surfing the Internet, and of course, watching the Dallas Mavericks play basketball!  I prefer live, but have to settle for the TV most of the time. My favorite player is Dirk Nowitzki!  Anyone who knows me, knows that!
