WELCOME to my Home Page!

I am the speech/language pathologist for the Highland Park Independent School district in Amarillo, Texas.

I received by BS in Speech and Hearing Therapy from West Texas University, Canyon, Texas and my MS in Speech and Language Pathology from Texas Women's University,  Denton, Texas.

I have my Texas Teaching Certificate in Speech and Hearing Therapy.  I am licensed by the State of Texas as a Speech Pathologist.  I have the national Certificate of Clinical Competence.

I am a member of the Panhandle Speech and Hearing Association, the Texas Speech and Hearing Association and the American Speech and Hearing Association.

NOW, for some more interesting stuff.

I was born and raised in Perryton, Texas. I come from a very large family, 15 kids. Yes, I can name them all and no, one woman had 15 children.  My family is truly a yours, mine and ours. I tell people I have 6 whole, 4 step and 4 halve brothers and sisters. I have one grown, wonderful son named Addison and a very brave and amazing 3-year old granddaughter, Ayla.

Hey, come back here

I enjoy caring for her and watching her grow and learn.

I joined the navy out of high school (which was the best decision I ever made) an was a medical hospital corpsman.  I decided to go into speech therapy after the military and that's why I am where I am today.

I love being a speech therapist in the public school system. Every day is different because all children are different. They are a challenge sometimes, but I love challenges.
