Senior- cords

Those that receive such honor for every year in high school will also receive a personalized plaque.  

Highland Park ISD proudly recognizes outstanding achievement in rigorous academic courses for students attending Highland Park High School through the Superintendent Scholars program.



To qualify as a Superintendent Scholar, a student must:

  • Be currently enrolled in the 9th-12th grade in at least four courses listed as a Superintendent Scholar course.

  • Earn a semester average of 95 or above in each of four qualifying courses (including dual credit courses) taken at the high school in one semester or

  • earn an A average in any qualifying course taken at a college or university or through a college or university correspondence course.

∙    Courses taken with the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) will be reviewed on an individual basis.

∙    Averages for second semester will be determined after the fifth six weeks.

  • Honors, Dual Credit and AP courses will be weighted as outlined in the HP ISD Student Handbook.
