We are excited to announce our HP Parents as Teachers program has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon Affiliate! Mrs. Gutierrez and Mrs. Garza have worked hard to make this a reality. Here is a quote from one of our parents, "I was given advice and tools to help our son transition into school successfully. I learned just what I needed. HPPAT also provided fun activities for our entire family". Below you will find more information about the program. If you would like to enroll your family, please call 806-322-3789.
PAT concentrates on young children
• We focus on the earliest years of life because those years hold both the most
vulnerability and the most opportunity.
• We help parents embrace their role as their child’s best, first teacher.
PAT focuses on families
• We teach resilience and provide foundational supports to vulnerable families.
• We equip parents with the knowledge and resources they need for child-rearing – from prenatal through pre-kindergarten – to assure a healthy start in life and greater success in school.
• We connect families with community supports, so they thrive where they live and develop greater self-sufficiency.
PAT transforms research into outcomes
• Neuroscience and evidence-based practice are the basis of our home visiting model.
• We transform research into real-life resources and tools for home visiting, early
development, and family support professionals.
During visits, our home visiting professionals assess family needs and partner with parents to set family goals. Home visitors provide necessary information and resources to help parents support the emotional, behavioral, and physical development of their children. Each personal visit includes a focus on parent-child interaction, development centered parenting, and family well-being.
