We're Hiring for the 2025-2026 School Year!!

Highland Park FFA members Haley Rogers and Roxanne Shields received their Lone Star Degrees today. This is the highest degree of membership the State FFA Association can award. FFA members may apply to receive the Lone Star Degree only after they have received the Chapter degree. Those wishing to receive their Lone Star Degree must have been an active FFA member for at least two years, complete at least four semesters of agricultural science at or above the ninth grade level, maintain a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, invest significant time and money in their SAE, demonstrate their leadership skills and show a commitment to the FFA through involvement at the chapter level and above. Congratulations to Haley and Roxanne for all the hard work to get to this point!

HPISD school board members are attending the Summer Leadership Institute in Fort Worth this week, hosted by TASB. We appreciate their time and commitment to serving our community!

That’s a wrap on our first-ever Lady Hornets Softball Camp! We can’t wait to watch these future stars shine on the field this season, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s camp!

STAAR results will be available today in the Family Portal for EOC tests (High School). The 3rd - 8th grade STAAR results will be available starting June 17th. The Family Portal can be found at www.texasassessment.gov. Due to potential weather this evening, we will be cancelling volleyball summer league for tonight. We will pick it back up on Monday, June 9th at 4pm.

This year, Highland Park HS Band had two members start the huge climb to TX State Solo and Ensemble Contest back in the Fall of 2024 by selecting class 1 contest pieces and digging in to the learning, refining and memorization process of their college level repertoire. In February, they both earned a 1st division rating at Region Contest with a performance of their piece 100% from memory! This advanced them to the State Contest held in Austin. Congratulations to BOTH Brenlyn Caswell James Newberry who turned in outstanding performances at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest this past Monday. James Newberry earned a silver medal as a trumpet soloist for his performance of Petrie Piece Concertante by Balay!🥈 Brenlyn Caswell earned a GOLD medal as a euphonium soloist for her performance of Introduction and Dance by Barat!🥇 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations to them BOTH!!
