Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, Texas Senate Bill (SB) 2929 gives officials at school-sponsored and UIL extracurricular events the authority to immediately remove spectators for disruptive or disrespectful behavior — without a verbal warning.
⚖️ Key Highlights:
✅ Immediate Ejection – No warning required before removal.
✅ Officials’ Discretion – Referees, judges, and event officials can act swiftly.
✅ UIL Events – Applies to all UIL athletic and extracurricular competitions.
✅ Effective Now – In place for the 2025-2026 school year.
🎯 Purpose of the Law:
Ensure student safety
Prevent event disruptions
Promote good sportsmanship
Let’s work together to keep our school events positive, safe, and respectful for all. 💛🐝

New Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedure at HP Elementary
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, all student drop-offs and pick-ups at the front of the elementary school will take place only in the eastbound lane directly in front of the building.
The other two lanes in the parking lot will remain open for through traffic (both eastbound and westbound). For everyone’s safety, please do not stop or park in these lanes—even briefly—as was done in previous years.
This new procedure only applies to the front drop-off and pick-up area of the elementary school.
Keeping the other lanes clear is essential in case emergency vehicles need access to the school. We appreciate your support in helping us keep all students and staff safe.
We’ve attached a diagram to help clarify the new drop-off/pick-up area.
Thank you for your cooperation—we’re excited to welcome your student to a great new school year!

We encourage families to start talking with students now about what this will look like during the school day. Thank you for partnering with us!
