Special shoutout to the middle school track teams. They competed in their first track meet of the year at the Pantex Relays in Fritch. All four teams, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls, won first place team overall at the meet.

Unequipped Lady Hornet Powerlifters are bringing home some hardware! Maria Elizondo placed 5th in the 132 lb. Weight class. Mia Sanchez placed 4th in the 114 lb. Weight class. Roxanne Shields placed 2nd in the 105 weight class and qualified for the state competition in Edinburg, Tx. Way to go Lady Hornets!!


The Hornets won both of their games today 7-6 and 16-2! Way to Hornets!! ⚾️

Spanish 3 students participated in the Language Festival at the Happy State Bank Stadium in Canyon, TX. Eiza Orratia-Rodríguez won first place in the intermediate reciting poetry category, and Campbell Bargas earned second place in the talent category.

A big shoutout to our baseball team for getting their first win last Friday! Another shoutout to our powerlifting teams for both getting first place at our Ralph Shemwell Memorial PL meet Saturday. Our boys and girls are doing a great job at HP!!

Congratulations to Highland Park High School Band members Brenlyn Caswell (9th) and James Newberry III (10th) who both earned trips to the 2025 Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest!
This UIL State event will take place in Austin, in May of this year.
Brenlyn and James both took on the challenge of competeting at the region level with Class 1 solos (most difficult), performed them from memory, (required) and earned 1st division ratings from the adjudicator! 🥇🥇
Congratulations and Best of Luck as you represent HP at the state level!

History was made Monday night with our varsity softball team as they won their first game of the season against River Road! On top of that, Freshman Kaitlin Lucas hit the first ever home run out of the park. Come out this Friday and watch our boys scrimmage Memphis at 4pm and also get a look at our amazing facilities. You will be impressed! GO HORNETS!!!!


Highland Park ISD will delay the start of school until 10:00 am on Thursday, February 13, 2025 due to the icy conditions and frigid temperatures expected in the early morning.
Buses will run 2 hours later than normal.
