Attention football, band and cheer senior parents and guardians:
Senior night is this Friday. All seniors who are involved in football, band and cheer need to have their families down on the field by the tunnel at 6:20. We will line you up in alphabetical order and then begin the tunnel walk at 6:30. After we recognize our seniors, we will begin the game at 7pm. Let's pack the stands and have a great night!
Also, the booster club will be selling various merchandise during the game at the concession stand. If you need some hornet gear, Friday is a great opportunity to get some!

For the first time in HPISD history, the Highland Park Hornet Band became a UIL Area Finalist at the UIL Area A 2A Marching Contest held in Abilene TX, yesterday.
The competitive path to become an Area finalist began two weeks ago at UIL Region Marching Contests when 47 2A bands in Area A received ratings. HP recieved straight 1’s.
Of the 47 2A bands in our Area, 24 advanced to the Area contest and performed a Preliminary run on Saturday. Of those 24 bands, 10 earned the chance to advance to the final round.
The top 10 bands in all of AREA A played a Finals performance on Saturday evening at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene. HP took the field at 8pm.
Your HP Hornet band turned in an amazing run of their show, "The Ascent", placing them 6th in all of West and West central Texas!! A HUGE achievement for any TX high school band!
A HUGE thank you to our class of 2025 Seniors. They have carried the torch since their Freshman year when the HP band received its very first, 1st Division rating at marching contest. Their leadership and commitment to growth and achievement made all this possible!!

Congratulations to Mr. Tilley and Mrs. Berry for receiving an Education Credit Union Pocket Change Grant for their classrooms! Thank you Education Credit Union for supporting our teachers and students.
